What material is Kiame jewelry is made of?

Our jewelry is made from sterling silver, oxidized sterling silver, 14k gold, and 18k gold. We use lab-grown diamonds as well as precious and semi-precious stones.

Is Kiame jewelry considered fine jewelry?

Our jewelry embraces a modern aesthetic, defined by a bold mix of materials and textures. It’s not traditional fine jewelry, many of our pieces feature intentionally raw finishes rather than polished perfection. We celebrate a raw, authentic beauty that feels more organic than refined.

What is oxidized silver?

Oxidized silver is created through a process that gives sterling silver a rich, black patina, resulting in a beautifully tarnished appearance. This effect is achieved by treating the silver with liver of sulfur, which accelerates the natural tarnishing process. Over time, even with the best care, the oxidized finish will gradually lighten as the underlying silver begins to shine through adding unique character and evolution to each piece.

Where is my jewelry made, and is it ethically made?

Kiame jewelry is thoughtfully handmade in our studio in Lebanon. Each piece is crafted by joyful, skilled hands and shipped directly from our workshop. We collaborate exclusively with expert jewelers we know personally, artisans who share our values and dedication to excellence. Together, we uphold a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and responsible production. Our creations are made using the finest materials and meticulous attention to detail, with many pieces featuring recycled gold and silver.

How should I clean and care for my Kiame jewelry?

With proper care and maintenance, all our pieces are made to last. Silver jewelry naturally develops a unique patina over time, adding to its character. You can keep your silver and gold pieces shiny by gently polishing them with a jewelry polishing cloth, available at most jewelry stores. Avoid contact with lotions, perfumes, hairspray, makeup, and other chemicals. Store your jewelry in your Kiame pouch, and never use silver dip or a polishing cloth on oxidized silver, as this will remove its darkened finish.
